In September 2021, GPEX, in collaboration with Cambridge University Press and Assessment, hosted the Evolve 2021 webinar. This two-day event, held via Zoom webinar, convened a total of 223 attendees, comprising representatives from 48 Chinese Independent Schools in Malaysia and five secondary schools from Hong Kong.
The primary objective of Evolve 2021 was to shed light on the transformative journey of English Language teaching and learning, particularly in response to the evolving educational landscape catalysed by the COVID-19 pandemic. GPEX, along with Cambridge, aimed to provide comprehensive solutions to help educational institutions adapt to these changes effectively.
The webinar focused on three key areas within English Language Teaching (ELT): Assessment, Learning Materials, and Teacher Development, all within the context of secondary learners. Distinguished speakers and panellists from Cambridge University Press and Assessment, alongside industry experts from Malaysia and Hong Kong, shared profound insights during the event.
